Who we are
EU Jobs PK (“EU Jobs PK”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile app that helps people from Pakistan find and apply for jobs abroad, in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Malta, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The app is run by Nova Sphere d.o.o. Kragujevac, Svetozara Markovića 71, stan 22, 34000 Kragujevac (registered office) and Milovana Gušića 23, 34000 Kragujevac (office), Serbia, which is the controller of your personal data.
This policy covers the EU Jobs PK app and this website (together, the “Service”). For any privacy question or request, email info@novasphere.rs.
The short version
- You sign in with your Google account. We receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
- Your CV (personal details, contact details, address, education and work experience) is saved with your account so you can apply. When you apply for a job, your CV and your answers are reviewed for that job and may be made available to the employer.
- Your CV photo stays on your phone. We do not receive it. It only leaves your phone if you choose to share a copy of your CV yourself.
- The app is free and shows ads from Google and other advertising partners. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
- We never charge job seekers and do not sell your personal data. You can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
Account details
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo (if any) and an account identifier. The app shows which Google account you are signed in with on your profile.
Your CV
The details you type into the CV builder:
- Personal details: full name, father’s name, date of birth, marital status and children’s names (if you add them).
- Contact details: phone number and a contact email. The contact email is the one employers use to reach you; it can be different from your sign-in email.
- Address: province or region, city and street address in Pakistan.
- Education: degree, institute and year.
- Work experience: job titles, employers, dates and a description of your work.
- A photo of you, chosen from your gallery. It is stored only on your phone (see The short version).
Your applications
The jobs you apply for, the date and time you applied, your answers to the questions for each job (for example, your experience or when you can travel), a copy of your CV as it was when you applied, the status of each application and its history (submitted, under review, on hold, sent to employer, approved, not eligible or rejected), and your progress in the language course linked to an application.
Your job preferences
The countries and kinds of jobs you are interested in and when you can travel, which you tell us or which we infer from the jobs you apply for. We use them to suggest matching jobs.
Device details
A notification token (so we can send you status updates), the app version, and whether notifications are turned on.
Records of your agreement
The version of these terms and this policy you accepted, and when.
Your use of the app
Your progress in the free language lessons, your daily streak, the documents you have ticked on the documents checklist, and the tips you have unlocked. These are kept on your phone only.
Device and ad data
Our advertising partners may collect device information, an advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your connection, and how you interact with ads. See Ads.
What we never collect
- Your passport, CNIC or other identity document images. The documents checklist only stores which items you have ticked.
- Your precise location, contacts, SMS, call log or microphone.
- Your Google password. Sign-in is handled by Google.
- Any payment or bank details. Nothing in the app is paid.
How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and show which Google account is linked.
- To build your CV and create a copy you can save or share.
- To receive your application, review it against the job, and update its status (see How applications are handled).
- To make your CV and answers available to the employer in their employer account when your application moves to “Sent to employer”, and to show you the employer’s decision.
- To suggest matching jobs based on your preferences and applications, for example when an application is not eligible.
- To send you notifications: application status updates, language course reminders and daily job picks. You can turn these off in your phone’s settings.
- To show ads that keep the app free, and to measure them.
- To keep the Service safe, stop abuse and fake applications, and meet our legal duties.
How applications are handled
Every application goes through these steps:
- Submitted. We have received your CV and your answers, and your application is waiting in line. The review starts 3 days (72 hours) after the date and time you applied.
- Under review. Your CV and answers are checked against the requirements of the job (for example age, passport, experience and your answers). This review is largely automated and is completed within 48 hours. If your profile does not match the job, the status becomes Not eligible.
- On hold. Your profile matches the job, and one more step is needed from you first: a quick language check, done by completing the 7 day language course in the app.
- Sent to employer. 2 to 3 days after you complete the course, your CV and answers are made available to the employer for that job in their employer account.
- Employer decision. The employer marks your application as one of:
- Approved: the employer liked your profile and may contact you directly. This is not yet a job offer; any offer comes from the employer in writing.
- Not eligible: your profile does not match this job. The app then shows you matching jobs, so you can apply again.
- Rejected: the employer chose other candidates.
Every status change is shown in the app and sent to you as a notification straight away. The times above are our usual times; delays can sometimes happen, for example during technical problems or when we receive very many applications. A status is set when the step really happens and is not a job offer. The hiring decision is always made by the employer.
The automated review does not close your application on its own. If you think your application was judged wrongly, you can ask for a person from our team to look at it by emailing us.
Why we may use it
Where data protection law (such as the GDPR or Serbia’s Law on Personal Data Protection) applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for, including sending your applications.
- Consent: for personalised ads in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and for notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud, and improve the app.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or share information.
Google sign-in
When you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares only your basic profile (name, email address and photo) with us. We never see your Google password. Google’s use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. When you sign out or delete your account, the app forgets your sign-in on that phone.
Ads
The app is free because it shows ads: banner ads, native ads (always marked “Ad”), full-screen ads at natural breaks, ads when you open the app, and video ads you choose to watch to unlock extra content.
Ads are provided by Google and other advertising partners. They may use an advertising identifier and device information to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for your choice before personalised ads are shown, and you can change it later. You can also reset your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone’s settings.
Learn more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services. Each advertising partner handles data under its own privacy policy.
Phone permissions
- Internet: to sign in, send applications and show ads.
- Notifications: for status updates and reminders. You can say no, or turn them off later.
- Photos: only the one photo you choose for your CV. The app does not browse your gallery.
- Files: only to save a copy of your CV on your phone when you ask.
How we keep it safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and access to applications is limited to the people who need it to process them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your phone locked and your Google account protected.
Where it is stored
Your CV photo and your lesson progress are stored on your phone only. Your account, CV, preferences and applications are processed by us in Serbia and by our service providers, which may store data in the European Union or other countries. When your application is sent to an employer, it goes to the country of that job, which may be outside Pakistan and outside the European Union. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Data on your phone stays until you delete your account, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
- Everything we hold about you (account, CV, preferences, applications, notifications and the record of the terms you accepted) is kept while your account is open, and deleted completely as soon as you delete your account in the app, or within 30 days of a request by email.
- Copies already sent to an employer are held by that employer under their own rules.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of your personal data, or send it to someone else.
- Correct it. You can also edit your CV in the app at any time.
- Delete it, or limit how we use it.
- Stop using it for a purpose based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent you gave, such as for personalised ads.
Email info@novasphere.rs. We reply within the time the law requires, normally within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Serbia, that is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to My CV, tap Delete account and confirm. You can also ask by email. See Delete your account for the steps and what is deleted.
What you share yourself
When you share your CV, a job or the app with others yourself (for example by message), you decide who receives it, and we are not responsible for how they use it. Only share your CV with people and employers you trust.
Other websites
The app may link to official websites and other services we do not run. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Children
The Service is for adults looking for work. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you think a child has used the app, email us and we will delete their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or the law requires it. We will change the date at the top and, where the law requires, tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
